On the Tuesday, December 3 episode of his ESPN radio show, Pat McAfee debuted the trailer for Enigma, a documentary about controversial New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The three-part docuseries will premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, December 17.

The documentary will be leaning right into Aaron Rodgerscontroversial persona, as the trailer features snippets of headlines he’s created in recent years, in addition to buzz-worthy phrases like “Loyal, bold, selfish, fake, defiant, stubborn, difficult, controversial,” etc.

The trailer for Enigma features tons of footage from Rodgers’ adventures in recent years, such as rehabbing his torn Achilles, hanging out with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and traveling to remote South American countries to trip on ayahuasca.

“Once I started my spiritual journey, everything shifted,” Rodgers says in the trailer. “The metamorphosis is happening.”

Rodgers’ releasing a behind-the-scenes documentary that has been filmed over the last few years is certainly ironic considering last year he was quoted as saying the Jets need to get “all the bulls— that doesn’t have to do with winning out of the building.”

Rodgers, 41 years old, is currently leading the Jets through a miserable season that’ll likely be his first and last as the team’s starting quarterback. The team sit at 3-9 after Week 13 and have fired head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas.

Reports in recent weeks have indicated that if Rodgers does try to play in the NFL in 2025, it likely will not be with the New York Jets, who are completely rebuilding the organization after two years of the disastrous Aaron Rodgers experiment.

Rodgers and the 3-9 Jets will be taking on the Dolphins in Miami for their Week 14 matchup on Sunday, December 8 at 1 p.m. EST.
