Equanimeous St. Brown is not fond of the City of Detroit. He let listeners known while speaking with his brother on the duo’s podcast.

St. Brown provided a public evisceration of the area, calling it nothing more than a “layover destination.”

“Detroit, no one’s going there,” he said while speaking with his brother, Amon-Ra. “I think a lot of people outside of Detroit would agree with me. If they could choose to live anywhere in the world or the country, they would not choose Detroit. Hate to say it.”

His brother responded by backing the city, where he’s spent all four of his NFL seasons.

“A lot of Detroit fans have something to say about that. They say the summers are some of the best out here.”

That rebuttal wouldn’t be enough to convince his Equanimeous.

The City of Detroit’s official social media sites caught wind of the shade, taking immediate offense to the comments. They opted to hit back with facts on their X platform.

Equanimeous St. Brown doubled down on the hate by trolling the account’s reply.

“Hopefully next year, you’ll crack the Top 25 [most populous cities in America],” he posted. The City of Detroit wouldn’t back down!

Equanimeous St. Brown has played for two of Detroit’s NFC North rivals in his six seasons in the NFL. After starting his career in Green Bay, he moved onto Chicago in 2022 where he played two years.

He signed with the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad this offseason.

His brother, Amon-Ra, meanwhile has shined with the Lions. In four seasons, he’s racked up 3,840 receiving yards to become one of the top threats in the league.

The City of Detroit has clearly taken sides! They’ll shake off Equanimeous’s negative commentary while continuing to support his younger sibling.
