Many fans have noticed that this year’s NFL draft on ESPN has been delving into the depressing aspect of player family backgrounds much more than previous years.
What is with the nfl talking about every kids dead parent. Like every draft pick it’s oh his dad drowned in a pool and oh his mom died of a blood clot. Its really depressing to see

Is it a requirement ESPN has to hit you with a horribly depressing tidbit for every player drafted? #NFLDraft

I mean I'm not sure why I need to know that a draftee's mother contracted the West Nile Virus in 2012 https://t.co/UeCaMS6P9p pic.twitter.com/d5Mz98cv8D

ESPN may have gone too far with their player backgrounds when they put up a graphic to detail Tee Higgins’ past which included a tidbit about his mother battling drug addiction for 16 years.
@espn this is disgusting on your part, Tee Higgins is enjoying his entrance to the NFL. And y’all have to announce his personal family business, by putting his moms drug addiction battle. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves. pic.twitter.com/0oO1LbVZGr
