ESPN seems to have gone with their latest graphic.
On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl despite the fact that Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes in the game.
Jalen Hurts having 304 yards passing, 70 yards rushing, four total touchdowns and no interceptions would almost always be enough to win a game. Not today. pic.twitter.com/OusxW5Pvzo

During his postgame press conference, an emotional Hurts described his feelings following the team’s heartbreaking loss.
“We came up short. I think the beautiful part about it is everyone experiences different pains, everyone experiences different agonies of life, but you decide if you want to learn from it. You decide if you want that to be a teachable moment. I know I do.”
I’ve been doing this most of my life, since I was 16 and it still amazes how bad media are at asking questions. See that kid, he was only one that asked Jalen Hurts a really thoughtful question and in turn got a thoughtful answer of what Hurts will take from this going forward. pic.twitter.com/7CW1F79Xtm

After the game, ESPN decided to run a disrespectful graphic that showed Mahomes stepping over Hurts the same way Allen Iverson infamously stepped over Ty Lue in the NBA Finals.

Fans and media alike crushed ESPN over the graphic.
This is disrespectful as hell @espn !!! SMH https://t.co/LrcNG1czgw

Delete this shit. Jalen OUT QB’d Mahomes. The Chiefs Defense gave them a TD and the @NFL HELPED them WIN. #SuperBowl #NFLRigged https://t.co/aLR00TslGf

Poor choice of journalism on SO MANY levels. First and foremost you are degrading a guy that literally outplayed Mahomes in the same game. That same player was cheated of a chance to have his final say in the outcome. Read the room before tweeting https://t.co/GUPK4kr8B1
