ESPN’s Adam Schefter is facing backlash over his comments on Sherrone Moore’s arrest.
On Wednesday night, Moore was fired by Michigan over an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staffer.
After getting fired, Moore allegedly went to the staffer’s home and threatened her with a knife for telling the administration about their relationship, which led to his firing.
Via Michigan-based journalist John U. Bacon.
“He and this employee at the Michigan football building were investigated by the University of Michigan this summer, and both denied any relationship. That story changed yesterday morning when she to the administration office, with the receipts, the text messages, the emails, documents, and so on. That resulted in Sherrone Moore being fired.
“Ward Manuel fired Moore sometime after noon yesterday, one one-on-one in their office. After that, he broke into the employee’s home in Pittsfield Township, grabbed a knife, apparently, and threatened to harm her and harm himsel.f”

During an appearance on ESPN, Adam Schefter, a Michigan alum, appeared to come to Moore’s defense despite the awful allegations against him.
“What we haven’t heard yet is Sherrone Moore’s side of this. And he gets his say in this particular situation as well. I do know he felt like people had it in for him for an awful long time.”

Schefter received immediate backlash over his comments on the Moore situation.
He kept going around in circles on this and then got even weirder when Finebaum pushed back a little bit. Frankly, everyone on First Take was uncomfortable.
IMO ESPN would be wise to ease off Schefter as a leading reporter on the Moore firing. He’s clearly conflicted. https://t.co/aRChGtRy9s

Adam Schefter has had some credibility issues for years, the JPP stolen medical files being very high on the list. But his morals should always be questioned after this kind of gross misdirection of conduct by his alma mater’s coach https://t.co/LnpcL14NWA
