ESPN’s Jeff Passan Apologizes For ‘Crossing The Line’ With Vulgar Tweet Directed At Justin Verlander’s Brother

ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan may have gotten too vulgar for Disney’s liking.

While overing Game 1 of the ALDS Tuesday between the Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros, Passan tweeted about Justin Verlander giving up an early lead to Seattle.

Passan noticed that he tweeted Justin Verlander’s name twice and mocked Ben Verlander, who frequently posts about Shohei Ohtani.

Ben Verlander fired back by making a joke about Passan’s height.

This led to Passan asking Ben if he got his knees when he talked to Ohtani.

Passan deleted the tweet and apologized for “crossing the line” in his back and forth with Ben Verlander.

“Earlier, a tweet directed at @BenVerlander crossed the line and was hurtful to many. I deleted the tweet and sincerely apologize. Though Ben and I have known one another for a while and often joke on Twitter, it’s no excuse for my mistake. I will be better and learn from it”.
