ESPN has had a rough NBA Finals.
Throughout the Finals, fans have complained about terrible production quality, unwatchable halftime shows, and lackluster calls from the booth.
On Monday, Mike Breen, who is considered one of the best in the business, made an embarrassing mistake while speaking about Jrue Holiday’s wife.
Late in the game, Doris Burke praised Holiday’s wife for making sacrifices to live in Boston. ESPN’s cameras then cut to a random woman in the crowd, and Breen believed it was Holiday’s wife.
“You’ve talked about he and his wife Lauren and their commitment.”
Breen was eventually forced to correct himself later in the game.
“We want to make a quick correction and apologies, that was not Jrue Holiday’s wife””
