ESPN’s Ryan Clark went viral with his take on the Sherrone Moore situation.
Earlier this week, Moore was fired by Michigan for having an extramarital affair with a staffer. Moore was later arrested when he broke into the staffer’s home and threatened to kill himself in front of her.
While speaking about the scandal, Clark implied that black coaches will be affected by Moore’s actions.
“He also failed a community of coaches who would love to follow him to get an opportunity to coach at a historically great university like Michigan. That was the opportunity that he had, that he failed at.
“Sherrone Moore was the first African American head coach at Michigan. Now there’s a community of coaches who will be judged because of his action.”
Black coaches won’t get hired now because Sherrone Moore committed adultery by sleeping with a staffer?!

Clark received backlash from his comments, prompting Luther Campbell to bash him on social media.
Ryan Clark is doing the Black community a disservice with his comments today on ESPN about the former Michigan head coach. If anybody needs to be represented with fairness and understanding in this moment, it’s him — not torn down by one of our own on national TV. pic.twitter.com/qbEYq0PqAD
