Evy Leibfarth won a bronze medal for the United States at the Olympics in canoe slalom. However, she could not get the job done in Kayak Cross after a bee nearly got her disqualified at the starting line.

It was an impressive showing from the 20-year-old just to stay calm and compete!

Leibfarth brought great pride to her country with a third-place finish last week. The North Carolina-native was overcome with emotions after securing her place on the podium in her second trip to the Olympics.

She really did that!

Unfortunately, Leibfarth’s run came to an end during the quarterfinal of the Kayak Crossβ€” which might be the most chaotic event at this year’s Games. It is chaos from start to finish. Just a total free-for-all.

For Leibfarth to make it as far as she did was a great accomplishment, considering that a disqualification nearly ended her competition even earlier than expected. A bee/wasp landed on her arm while waiting at the start line, which did not help her to remain calm. Rather, the opposite.

Even though Leibfarth is terrified of bees and was freaking out, she stayed just still enough to avoid a DQ.

Did the pre-race bee impact the rest of Evy Leibfarth’s race? Perhaps. Maybe not. She didn’t say.

Either way, Leibfarth will return home as a luminary and a bronze medalist. That rules!

In the meantime, with competition over and the Closing Ceremonies not until Sunday, the American canoeist is currently looking for love in the Olympic Village.

Denmark’s fastest man, Simon Hansen, might be an interested suitor after watching her hit the viral ‘Apple dance’ from his balcony.

They shot their respective shots at each other on TikTok!

Evy Leibfarth grew her following on social media through an output of tremendous content, conquered her fear of bees, won a bronze medal and might’ve found her future husband while at the Olympics. If that isn’t a win for Gen Z, then I don’t know what is!
