Ex-ESPN Host Shares Conspiracy Theory About College Football Playoff Committee And Michigan

Former ESPN Dan Patrick host has a pretty interesting conspiracy theory regarding the college football playoffs.

Over the weekend, the college football playoff committee announced the top 4 college football teams playing in this year’s playoffs.

When Alabama was revealed as Michigan’s opponent, Michigan players were shocked with the announcement.

On his radio show on Monday, Patrick said he believes that the college football committee is punishing Michigan over their sign-stealing scandal by ranking them #1 and giving them Alabama over FSU.

“Conspiracy theory, but Michigan’s No. 1,” Patrick said. “And I think that maybe the committee goes, ‘Yeah Michigan got in. Had the little sign-stealing thing. How about we put Alabama there at No. 4.’

“Just a conspiracy theory on my part. No inside information on that.”

Patrick went on to say that he agrees with the college football committee’s controversial decision to keep FSU out of the playoffs.

“Florida State you have a legitimate beef, but you’re not one of the Top 4 teams in America.”

It’ll be interesting to see how things play out with Michigan, but if they’re the best team in the nation they should be able to beat Alabama.
