Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom is not happy with Olympic freestyle skier Eileen Gu.
During the Olympics, Gu has faced backlash for representing China despite being born in the United States.
Gu, born to a Chinese mother, explained her decision to represent China instead of the US during an interview with ESPN.
“It really just is unique to me,” Gu said. “I think because the sport is international, my whole message is that I want to make sports international.”
During an interview on Fox News on Tuesday night, Freedom, who has been outspoken against China for years, called Gu a “traitor.”
“She’s a TRAITOR!”
“She chooses to play for a country responsible for the deaths of TENS OF MILLIONS of its own people and literally running a concentration camp while we are talking.”
“She chose to compete against her OWN COUNTRY for the worst human rights abuser on the PLANET.”

Freedom isn’t the only person to criticize Gu. Vice President JD Vance also spoke out against Gu for representing China in the Olympics.
“I certainly think somebody who grew up in the US, who benefitted from our education system and the freedoms and liberties that make this country a great place, I would hope they would want to compete with the US. So I’m going to root for American athletes and part of that is people who identify themselves as Americans.”
