Ex-NFL Doc Reacts To Trevor Lawrence’s Worrying Leg Injury

Jags QB Trevor Lawrence suffered a serious-looking injury on Monday night, and a former NFL doc is chiming in to give his opinion.

During Monday night’s JagsBengals game, Lawrence went down with a serious-looking leg injury when he stepped on a lineman’s foot and landed awkwardly on top of his ankle. A frustrated Lawrence slammed his helmet on the ground and needed to be helped off the field.

Orthopedic surgeon and former NFL doctor David Chao, better known as “Pro Football Doc, believes that Lawrence didn’t suffer a major injury and could be back sooner than later.

By video, right inversion ankle sprain when he was stepped on by his lineman – appeared to be moderate grade and unlikely to return to the game given the short time remaining – not impossible he plays next week against the Browns with ankle heavily taped – non-surgical and not season-ending.
