Ezavier Crowell is not the top-ranked running back in high school football but Alabama will not care about his rating. The Crimson Tide will be thrilled to get this absolute bowling ball in the backfield.
Good luck trying to bring him down.
Crowell scored the most insane touchdown of the high school football season thus far on Thursday night. He broke no less than seven would-be tackles en route to the end zone.
Who is Ezavier Crowell?
The senior running back plays for Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama. Most major recruiting sites list him either as four- or five-star prospect in the recruiting Class of 2026.
Crowell ranks as one of the top-75 players in the country and the fourth-ranked player at his position behind Michigan commit Savion Hiter, Texas A&M commit K.J. Edwards and Oregon commit Tradarian Ball.
Although there are still a few months for things to change, the Yellowhammer State-native committed to the flagship university in his home state back in June and appears to be locked in on the Tide. However, Auburn, Texas and Georgia will presumably remain in contact with Crowell as the Early Signing Day nears closer. His full list of offers hovers somewhere between 30 and 35. He only visited his top four.
It looks like Alabama will ultimately receive a signature from Ezavier Crowell, which will provide an immediate boost to the backfield in Tuscaloosa alongside AK Dear and Kevin Riley.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound ball-carrier possesses both short area speed and the acceleration to get to the edge on a consistent basis. And if you don’t wrap him up, he will either juke you out, run through you, or — quite literally — jump over you.

Get out of his way!
Crowell ran for 1,737 yards and 25 touchdowns on 166 carries in 2023. He went for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns on 168 carries in 2024.
2025 is off to an equally as strong start.
Jackson’s star running back ran for 1,190 yards and 13 touchdowns on 92 carries during the first six games of the season. He needed only seven touches to run for 102 yards and four touchdowns on Thursday. Crowell broke no less than seven tackles on his best run of the night. It was insane.
UNBELIEVABLE. Alabama RB Commit Ezavier Crowell just ran through the entire defense for 6. @EzavierCrowell

Alabama fans, this maybe the most dominate running back recruit you’ve ever seen. pic.twitter.com/V7yvqtbmWD
Alabama is about to get the most dominant high school football running back in the country and don’t be surprised if the Crimson Tide works him into the game plan as a freshman. Who wouldn’t want to have such a ridiculous athlete in the backfield?! We’ll see whether he can keep this up against SEC defenses.
