Netflix paid a ton of money to air Christmas Day games on Netflix, but unfortunately fans aren’t happy with the broadcast.

According to reports, Netflix paid the NFL $75 million a piece for two Christmas Day games.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has spoken in the past about the importance of having big sporting events on the platform.

“Everything we invest in, in the live space should be a contained, ownable event.”

“Every time we buy a football game, I don’t think I’m after an entire season of NFL. I don’t want a season of football; I want the Super Bowl. With our Christmas Day game, we’re creating something like that.”

On Thursday, Netflix streamed two games, and fans on social media were not happy with the broadcast quality.

“The NFL on Netflix may be the worst broadcast/stream I’ve ever seen?! The South Carolina high school state championship has better quality” commented one fan.

“Hey @NFL stop selling games to @netflix. They can’t handle it. The stream is absolutely trash” said another fan.
