Bronny James has finally made his much anticipated NBA Summer League debut, and it’s clear that he still needs a lot of work.

Last week, the Lakers signed Bronny to a four-year $7.9 deal with the idea that he would spend the majority of his time in the G-League developing his game.

On Saturday afternoon, LeBron James’ eldest son played his first Summer League game and scored four points from 2/9 shooting with two assists and two rebounds.

Despite his subpar showing, the Lakers revealed they planned to give Bronny a lot of playing time during Summer League.

“Lakers summer league coach Dane Johnson says that the tentative plan is for Bronny James to play in every game this summer as LA looks to get him as many reps as possible.”

After the game, fans on social media gave their opinions on Bronny’s first game.

‘Man, can’t play his first Summer League game in peace. He will be okay.” said one fan.

Some mocked LeBron for implying his son was better than some players in the NBA last season.

It’s clear that Bronny isn’t anywhere near NBA-ready and will need a few years in the G-League to see if he actually belongs in the league.
