On February 19, 2018, Team LeBron beat Team Giannis by three points in the NBA All-Star game from Los Angeles. While you more than likely don’t remember a single thing that happened in the game, or even that weekend, you undoubtedly remember the national anthem.

Fergie, at 43 years old, sang what is arguably — if not definitively — the worst rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner of all-time. Among those in attendance, Draymond Green, Steph Curry, Jimmy Kimmel, Chance the Rapper, and LeBron James could not help but laugh.

If you need a reminder of the atrocity, here is the performance in full:

It was horrible, but it provided for tremendous content.

Here is what Fergie had to say:

“I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem, and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” she said in an interview with TMZ Sports. “I’m a risk-taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.”

The entire thing got even better after Fergie’s ex-husband Josh Duhamel called out Draymond and called him a “prick.”

It did not go over well. Not long after Duhamel’s comments, the Warriors clowned all over both him and his ex-wife.

It was a remarkably hilarious saga that completely backfired on Duhamel.

Although the beef has since died down, because Duhamel is completely irrelevant in today’s society, Fergie’s national anthem lives on forever.

Internet personality Rob Anderson recently took it to a new level. He turned Fergie’s performance into a children’s book and it truly could not be funnier.
