Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza Shares Mindset During Game-Winning Drive Vs Penn State

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is ready to lay it all on the line to win a game.

On Saturday, Mendoza led the Hoosiers to an epic comeback win against Penn State late in the fourth quarter with no timeouts left in the game.

After the game, Indiana coach Curt Signetti was emotional while talking about Mendoza’s game-winning drive.

“This was an unbelievable win. I’ve seen a lot of stuff in my days, I’ve never seen anything quite like this,”

During his postgame press conference, Mendoza, who took several big hits late in the game, spoke about his mentality during the final drive to win the game in the fourth quarter.

“I’m going to put my life on the line for my team, I would die on that field, I would never sub myself out in that situation and I would die on that field for my brothers.”
