We’re just days away from March Madness. This week we’ll be treated to major conference tournaments. Selection Sunday will take place this weekend (Sunday, March 12th). The ‘First Four’ games will commence a week from tomorrow, and the First Round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament begins 10 days from now. It’s an exciting time.

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles wrapped up their regular season last night by beating the North Florida Ospreys and winning the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship.

Back in 2013, the FGCU Eagles made quite a name for themselves in the NCAA Tourney by throwing down colossal dunks left and right. They earned the nickname ‘Dunk City’ that year, and that’s a nickname that was on display in last night’s conference championship when Rayjon Tucker threw down a dunk that was so earth shattering it cut the power to the shot clock on the backboard and stopped the game:

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles averaged 79.4 points per game this year and finished the season with an impressive 26-7 overall record. Sure, the Atlantic Sun Conference is soft as hell but the FGCU Eagles still had a great season. Their post-season success remains to be seen, but if they’re season were to end last night that monster posterizing dunk would be the cherry on top. Let’s watch that in GIF once more, shall we?
