A scary scene unfolded in Denver, Colorado, as a Florida-bound American Airlines plane caught fire on the runway.
In a video posted on social media, the plane’s tire could be seen on fire while passengers were forced to evacuate on the runway.

American Airlines told the media that the aircraft “experienced a maintenance issue” with a tire on the landing gear before takeoff.
“All customers and crew deplaned safely, and the aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by our maintenance team,” said an American Airlines spokesman.
The FAA confirmed that all 173 passengers on board survived, while eight people were evacuated and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
AA3023 – American Airlines Boeing 737 Max Denver to Miami caught fire on takeoff this afternoon and stopped on the runway. All the passengers evacuated via the emergency slides and all are accounted for.
