The dad in the infamous ‘Phillies Karen” video is speaking out. Over the weekend, a woman at the Marlins-Phillies game went viral when she berated a man for picking a Harrison Bader home run ball during a fan scrum in the outfield. The man initially gave the ball to his young son, who was celebrating his birthday, but then gave it up to the angry woman after she yelled at him.

NBC Philadelphia caught up with the father, Drew Feltwell, who now resides in Florida, and he apologized to his son for giving up the ball to the angry woman.
“I decided to give her the ball. I apologize to you…
“We were there to get a home run ball, so I thought I had accomplished this great thing, and putting it in his glove meant a lot. She was just so adamant, loud, yelling, persistent. Didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Hundreds of people just staring, like I said. She was very close, and as dad of the family, so I didn’t want to do something that I regret, and that was the choice I made, is just hand the ball back, tell her go.”

Thankfully, the story has a happy ending as the kid got to meet Phillies star Harrison Bader after the game.
After giving away the home run ball, the Phillies brought Lincoln, the young fan, into the locker room, where he got a signed bat from Harrison Bader 👏❤️
