The Florida State Seminoles find themselves in an 0-2 hole to begin the 2024 college football season just one year removed from a perfect 13-0 campaign. The stark contrast in on-field results has led many to become frustrated.

Much changed for the Seminoles over the offseason, with the most notable adjustment pertaining to the quarterback position.

Star passer Jordan Travis is out. Transfer DJ Uiagalelei is in – for now.

Uiagalelei’s career to this point has been head scratching. Signing with Clemson as a five-star recruit, he was expected to replicate success seen with Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence.

Unfortunately, he struggled which eventually led to his transfer.

A season at Oregon State seemed to help him regain confidence, and when he opted to return to the ACC for his final year, Florida State believed the offense wouldn’t skip a beat.

The ‘Noles were wrong.

DJ Uiagalelei has struggled mightily in two games, completing 58% of his attempts while averaging just 6.4 yards per pass.

On Monday versus Boston College, a game the Seminoles were expected to win by three scores according to the sportsbooks, the quarterback again had trouble with consistency.

After missing a wide-open touchdown in the final moments of the first half, Uiagalelei opened the second half with a near-pick six to set up another Boston College score.

The students’ section had seen enough.

Florida State students were so sad watching DJ Uiagalelei.

Those young fans stuck it out as long as they could while watching an inept offense attempt to move the ball up the field. Most filtered out before the fourth quarter had ended.

After Uiagalelei’s second-half interception and ensuing Boston College touchdown, chants for backup quarterback Brock Glenn could be heard raining down from the stands.

DJ Uiagalelei’s leash would seem to be growing shorter, though to this point, no other Florida State passer has seen the field. If the fanbase had its way, we’d see a heavy dose of Brock Glenn in Week 3 versus Memphis.

We’ll soon find out where head coach Mike Norvell is leaning in terms of the Seminoles’ QB battle. He can’t afford many more struggles under center!
