The Floyd Mayweather saga with Netflix is starting to get ugly.
Earlier this year, Netflix announced that they were hosting the rematch between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao at the Las Vegas Sphere and that the fight would sanctioned as a pro fight that would count against their records.
Last week, Mayweather gave several interviews in which he claimed the fight would be an exhibition and that the location was still unknown.
“This is actually not a fight, it’s an exhibition. You know I got an exhibition with Mike Tyson also.”
🚨 Floyd Mayweather says his fight with Manny Pacquiao will be an exhibition, not a professional bout, and that the Sphere isn’t 100% confirmed as the location yet‼️

Pacquiao warned Mayweather that he would be in breach of contract for backing out of their fight.
Manny Pacquiao says Floyd Mayweather Jr has already received an advance for their rematch and is now making excuses 🗣️
“He signed a real fight, and he got his advance, so there’s no reason to make excuses.”

According to Boxing Scene’s Lance Pugmire, Mayweather was paid millions of dollars in advance by Netflix for a pro fight before trying to turn it into an exhibition.
“Netflix has given Floyd Mayweather some financial advances, and we’re talking millions of dollars, I don’t know exactly but when I threw out a figure, they said it’s even higher than what I threw out, and I threw out multiple millions of dollars.”
🗣️”We’re talking millions of dollars”💸
