Floyd Mayweather isn’t ready to talk about Ryan Garcia’s racist rant.

Earlier this year, Mayweather took Garcia under his wing and helped him get ready for his fight against Devin Haney.

Over the weekend, Garcia found himself in hot water when he mocked George Floyd during a racist rant on social media.

On Saturday, Mayweather attended the Masvidal-Diaz fight to support his fighter, Curmel Morton.

During an awkward backstage interview with Fight Hype, Mayweather refused to speak on Garcia’s recent racist rant.

“No you’re not going to get me involved in that, that’s not my thing, I’m here to talk about Curmel about what my fighters do about me helping my fighters and me being positive talking about family, Mayweather promotions and that’s what I’m here to talk about. If it’s something negative, I have nothing to do with it.”

Some boxing fans were not happy with Mayweather’s silence on the subject.

While Garcia initially apologized for his comments and said he would go to rehab, he has changed course and does not plan on doing anything.
