Former boxing champ Mark Magsayo is set to make his Zuffa boxing debut next month.
Last month, the popular Filipino fighter revealed that he had signed with the promotion after struggling to get fights with other promoters.
“You know I have been in camp since after my fight in July, because I was supposed to fight in October, December, January and then February but everything got moved. I’m always ready and hungry, especially feeling this good at lightweight,” Magsayo, 28-2 (18 KOs), told BoxingScene.com.
“My goal is to headline a show and make a great night of boxing for the fans who are following Zuffa Boxing,” said Magsayo. “I have been there [to the top of the sport] and I know I can give a good show for the boxing fans and everybody who comes to watch.”

On Thursday, Zuffa Boxing announced that Magsayo will fight Ireland’s Feargal McCrory on their April 5th card, which Andres Cortes and Eridson Garcia will headline.
ZUFFA BOXING 05: CORTES VS. GARCIA will feature Las Vegas native Andres Cortes (24-0, 13 KOs) taking on Eridson Garcia (23-1, 14 KOs) of the Dominican Republic in the lightweight main event. The 28-year-old Cortes, one of boxing’s rising undefeated contenders, will look to keep his perfect record intact as he fights in front of his hometown fans at the Meta APEX. Standing in his way is the 31-year-old Garcia, who has won six straight fights since suffering the lone loss of his professional career in 2023.
In the co-main event, former world champion Mark Magsayo (28-2, 18 KOs) of the Philippines will square off against Feargal McCrory (17-1, 9 KOs) of Ireland in a 10-round lightweight contest. Magsayo, known for his explosive power and aggressive style, faces a difficult challenge against the well-schooled southpaw McCrory with the winner well-positioned for a major opportunity in Zuffa Boxing’s lightweight division
