Former Michigan State Hoops Star Arrested After Bringing Loaded Assault Rifle To A Strip Club

Former Michigan State Spartans men’s hoops player Keith Appling was arrested in Dearborn, Mi. after cops found him with a loaded assault rifle that was allegedly described as being “similar to an AK-47,” per WXYZ in Detroit.

Police aren’t releasing too many details as the investigation continues, but say that Appling—who played for Sparty from 2010-14—was inside the Pantheion Club with the loaded rifle on Sunday night, with his intentions for having the gun with him being unknown.

The 24-year-old Appling had just finished a season with the Erie BayHawks, an Orlando Magic development team, and is being held in jail at the Dearborn Police Department. Details are sure to surface as police uncover more evidence.
