Greg Biffle was killed in a fatal plane crash last week in North Carolina. The NASCAR driver was honored in Charlotte during Sunday’s NFL game between the Panthers and Bucs.
A tribute video aired on FOX after the game kicked off. It celebrated the life of both a great sports star and humanitarian.
Reports of a crash involving a plane registered to Biffle surfaced Thursday. Confirmation was later given that Biffle and his family members were on the flight.

The ex-racer was an experienced pilot. He secured his license early in his racing career. The passion grew further after retirement in 2016.
Biffle was named a 2024 Myers Brothers Award recipient, which honors “individuals and/or groups who have provided outstanding contributions to the sport of stock car racing.” He flew supplies to areas impacted by Hurricane Helene using his own personal aircraft.

NASCAR’s presence in North Carolina is well-known. With the Panthers hosting the Bucs in Charlotte on Sunday, FOX aired a tribute to honor the racer.
Biffle’s impact on racing was notable. His acts of kindness were even more incredible. His life will continue to be celebrated.
