FS1’s Chris Broussard is under fire for his comments about James Harden during a recent episode of First Things First.
On Tuesday morning, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Harden had been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers months after requesting a trade from the Sixers.
Nick Wright and Broussard debated whether Harden would fit in with the Clippers.
During the debate, Broussard blurted out the “R” word to describe Harden live on air which stunned his colleagues.
“Is the man re—ded? I mean developmentally disabled, to think that he’s going to the Clippers…and think he’s going to shoot 25 times a night.”

A shocked Wright scolded his co-host and immediately told him, “you shouldn’t use that word.”
Broussard tried to apologize by saying that he had a recently deceased cousin who was “developmentally disabled.”
“Let me apologize for using that word, my first cousin we just put him to…he died a few months ago, and he was developmentally disabled, so I didn’t mean to use that word.”

There’s a decent chance Fox will likely punish Broussard over his derogatory comment about Harden, and there’s a possibility we won’t see him on TV for a while.
