FSU Baseball Announces New Hire With Photo That Makes Everyone Do A Double Take

FSU Baseball announces Drew Linder as new Director of Operations

FSU Baseball / X

Florida State Baseball announced the hiring of Drew Linder as the program’s new Director of Operations. The Seminoles maintain one of the most successful collegiate baseball programs in NCAA history despite having never won it all, something I’m keenly aware of as an FSU alum.

The announcement was made on social media with FSU Baseball sharing a photograph of new Director of Operations Drew Linder wearing a garnet shirt. That’s standard. FSU‘s colors are Garnet and Gold. But instead of contrasting the background with gold he stood behind a garnet facade which made him look like Kanye West and Lil Pump from that music video where they wore the huge suits.

For real, the guy looks like he’s 800 pounds here:

This was, and continues to be, my first reaction to seeing FSU Baseball’s announcement on X:

As for the new hire, Drew Linder is a former graduate assistant with the FSU Baseball program who spent the past six years at Pittsburgh (5) and North Florida (1) before returning to Tallahassee. The full press release on FSU’s new hire can be read here but the jokes on X kept rolling in….

Yes, I sure did:

Why didn’t they go with a gold background or a gold shirt?!

UPDATE!! FSU Baseball got tired of all the jokes and released a new photograph. Incredible. We’ve all been enjoying the memes from the other one so much today!
