Immediately after the video went viral on Twitter, FSU head coach Willie Taggart informed Francois that he would no longer be on the team.
Last night, I informed Deondre Francois that he is no longer a member of the Florida State football program. As we build a new culture and foundation for FSU Football, we have high expectations for all of our student-athletes and we will not shy away from those high standards of conduct. We are moving forward as a program.
The Deondre Francois news comes after a video allegedly capturing a domestic dispute between him and a young woman made its way onto social media last night. With him gone, James Blackman immediately becomes the favorite to start.

Francois’ college career is potentially over and it’s going to be tough for him to get in the NFL after the release of this video.
