Netflix Hypes Up PGA Tour-LIV Golf Controversy In First Trailer For Season 2 Of ‘Full Swing’

With the first trailer for Season 2 of Full Swing we know Netflix is relying on the LIV Golf-PGA Tour feud to bring in viewers and we know this because they used the word ‘controversy’ twice in the first 16-seconds of the trailer.

Of course, the PGA Tour-LIV drama was always going to be front and center in Season 2 of Netflix’s hit series Full Swing but the trailer begins with clips of players learning about a potential merger between the two tours and it’s evident they’re rolling with the juiciest drama first.

First Full Swing Trailer For Season 2

It will be fascinating to see how Netflix navigates the story lines of Jon Rahm and Tyrell Hatton, or at least how they handle Rahm.

He was asked quite a bit about LIV Golf prior to surrendering his PGA Tour card and securing the massive bag offered to him, a move that he admitted in a recent interview was heavily influenced by the money and winning The Masters last season.

From the trailer, we also see many of the LIV Golf members front and center including DJ, Cam Smith, and others. So where the first season focused on the PGA Tour and then saw defections throughout, this season will be coming from a completely different place.

Personally, I’d be pleased if they could just edit out the entire Ryder Cup storyline. If I could pay Netflix extra for a season that didn’t include any of that collapse and Euro celebrating I would happily fork over extra money.
