A New York Jets fan account caught star wide receiver Garrett Wilson liking an Instagram post from influencer “Overtime Meg” in which she said she’s considering hiring an “Etsy witch” to conjure a spirit so the Jets can draft Heisman Trophy winner and national champion Fernando Mendoza.

Having not appeared in the playoffs since the 2010 season, the New York Jets have the longest postseason drought not just in the National Football League, but across all five of the country’s major sports leagues: the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS.

These last few years have been particularly brutal for the Jets as they’ve gone from drafting an all-time bust in Zach Wilson, to the Aaron Rodgers fiasco, to now potentially having the worst head coach in the NFL in Aaron Glenn.

Despite the franchise’s struggles to be competitive, wide receiver Garrett Wilson has remained a class act throughout, as he not only manages to perform at a Pro Bowl level no matter who is quarterback is, but he also stands on business when it comes to defending the franchise and his fans. He also appears willing to entertain the idea of witchcraft to turn the franchise’s fortunes around by landing Fernando Mendoza in the NFL Draft, at least as far as we can tell based on his Instagram likes.

In four seasons and 58 games for the New York Jets, Wilson — drafted out of Ohio State University with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft — has had 315 catches for 3,644 yards and 18 touchdowns.
