After moving on from Justin Fields, the New York Jets have found their new quarterback. Or rather, their old one, as Geno Smith — whom the Jets drafted in 2013 — will be returning to the team. The Jets acquired Smith in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Not only do the New York Jets have the longest playoff drought in the National Football League, but it’s the longest playoff drought in all of American professional sports. Having not qualified for the postseason since 2010, the Jets’ have the longest playoff-less streak in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS.
While the team has made some improvements in the early goings of free agency, it’s certainly not enough of an overall to have Jets fans believing they can make a run at the playoffs, especially as far as the QB position in concerned with the return of Geno Smith.
NFL fans are once again making the fortunes of New York Jets fans following reports that Geno Smith will return to the team
Already often mocked by other fan bases, the rest of the NFL world is simply struggling to comprehend the depths of Jets fans’ misery.
NO SINGLE FAN BASE IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS HAS IT WORSE THAN THE NEW YORK #JETS.

While Smith was able to rehabilitate his career in Seattle and win Comeback Player of the Year in 2022, he had a terrible year with the Las Vegas Raiders last season and led the NFL in interceptions.
