The Georgia baseball team completed a four-run comeback against the Kennesaw State Owls on Tuesday in midweek action. Tempers flared near the end of that contest, which seemed to give the Bulldogs the spark they needed.

Head coach Wes Johnson was ejected in the seventh inning for arguing about the pitch clock. He’d be one of two Georgia team members tossed in the frame.

After being asked to leave the field, videos of Johson being escorted out of the ballpark began circulating social media. He was “perp walked” out by law enforcement!

The Bulldogs provided an immediate response after the coach’s exit. Slugger Slate Alford walked up to the plate with his team trailing 4-2. He blasted a no-doubt home run over the left field fence.

Alford took a moment to watch that moonshot before disrespectfully flipping his bat as he made his way down the first base line. The solo bomb cut the Georgia deficit to one run.

Teammate Ryan Black tied the contest up an inning later with a home run of his own before the Bulldogs took the lead in the top of the ninth. The offensive explosion capped a come-from-behind effort after seeing Georgia fall behind 4-0 in the second frame.

Closer Brian Curley, who went viral during the opening weekend for pumping 100 MPH heat with a diabolical windup, ended the game with a strikeout. He quickly gestured towards his dugout in celebration.

The Georgia baseball team improved to 4-1 on the year with the victory. Kennesaw State’s upset bid fell short, and the Owls are now 1-3 after dropping their third straight contest.
