Not many people could have predicted Dominik Mysterio would win the WWE Intercontinental Championship Sunday night at WrestleMania. Even less would have predicted that a golf cart carrying the new IC champion would hit a female fan as it was making its way around Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

In case you missed it, Dirty Dom somehow managed to beat the reigning Intercontinental champion Bron Breakker, Penta, and his Judgement Day stablemate Finn Balor in one of the most shocking results of the weekend. The 28-year-old son of professional wrestling legend Rey Mysterio, Jr. pulling off the massive upset turned the boos he received during the match’s introductions to a wave of celebratory cheers after it was over. People love an underdog. Even if he is an annoying little rat.

After celebrating his unexpected victory with the fans inside the arena, Dominik Mysterio hopped on a golf cart being driven by security. As the golf cart was making its way through the parking lot of the stadium, WWE fans kept crowding around the moving vehicle. Unfortunately, one female fan in a red shirt went full Tour de France and got clipped, hard, by the speeding golf cart.

One fan who was in the area reported to TMZ that he could hear Dominik Mysterio shout, “Oh s—!” when the cart ran into the fan. Reportedly, the cart’s driver did at least stop to check on the fan.

Incredibly, that wasn’t the only vehicular incident during WrestleMania Sunday night. Steve Austin also ran into the barrier by the ring with his ATV as he was making his entrance to announce the attendance for the weekend.

At least no one appeared to be injured in that incident, though a woman did get toppled back into her seat. It did, however, spawn a slew of fabulous memes.

Then again…
