A man by the name of Trevor Ogilvie issued a formal apology for his behavior during an embarrassing fight on the golf course with Nick Tarnasky. He had a few too many libations, talked his talk to the wrong guy and paid the price.
The Canadian man wound up in a nearby pond after he got rag-dolled by the retired NHL center.
Multiple videos of this heated golf incident went extremely viral on social media. I would be surprised if you are reading this article and you are not aware of what happened but lets break it down anyway because it is just so good. This screenshot in particular is a work of art:
A group of golfers, including Tarnasky, took issue with the pace of play from the group ahead of them. They decided to voice their frustrations. It was a pretty simple request. Please hurry up!
Ogilvie eventually snapped. He removed the glove from his hand and challenged Tarnasky to a fight. That was a big mistake. He did not know he was challenging a former NHL enforcer.
Tarnasky proceeded to whoop his butt. To Ogilvie’s credit, he just kept coming and refused to lie down. Respect. However, that was also a big mistake.
As Ogilvie charged back, Tarnasky threw multiple punches while yelling “bang” with each punch. It really could not get any funnier. Ogilvie eventually retreated. Tarnasky stopped throwing bombs.

We did not hear from Trevor Ogilvie for a few days while he tried to figure out the best approach to what happened. He recently emerged to tell his side of the story and to apologize to Nick Tarnasky.

I have the utmost respect for Ogilvie’s apology. At no point did he cast blame on others. At no point did he try to defend his actions. The Canadian golfer got rag-dolled by an NHL enforcer after a few too many drinks and owned up to his mistakes. Time to move on!
