Gregg Berhalter Is A Scourge On American Soccer And He Needs To Be Sent To Prison

United States Men’s National Team Manager Gregg Behatler is destroying what American soccer fans have been working to build for decades.

It’s really that simple.

Berhalter “led” the USMNT to a pathetic 5-1 loss to Colombia in a friendly ahead of the upcoming Copa America.

Is it just a friendly? Sure. Does the result actually mean anything tangible? No.

But it’s just the latest in a long run of embarrassing performances for the USMNT under Berhalter since he took over in 2018.

The United States has more soccer talent, both in terms of top players and depth, than it has ever had at any point in the country’s history.

The US is set to host this year’s Copa America, which includes powerhouse countries such as Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is also set to be held in the United States, Canada, Mexico.

It’s not hyperbolic to say that the next two-plus years are the most important time in the history on American soccer.

Soccer is already popular in the United States. That’s long been established. But a successful Copa America and World Cup for the United States on home soil would be massive for the continued growth of the sport in the country.

American Soccer Fans Are Sick And Tired Of Gregg Berhalter

And yet, the United States Soccer Federation appears more than happy to put the future in the hands of Gregg Berhalter.

Just look at how diehard fans of the USMNT feel about Berhalter.

The good news is that Berhalter is at least good at managing the locker room, right?!

Turns out that’s not even the case. His most notable accomplishment is very public feud with starting midfielder Gio Reyna.

Berhalter does more damage to the USMNT and American soccer as a whole with each passing match. He is a disaster. A plague. And he needs to be removed from his position post haste.

PS: (And what’s with the stupid extra G in his name anyway?!)
