Harmoni Turner is going to play her entire college basketball career as a member of the Harvard Crimson. All of the unfounded rumors about her imminent entry into the transfer portal are exactly that, unfounded rumors, and the NIL money does not matter.

She shut down all of the speculation about her future with a firm commitment to her current program on social media while pulling back the curtain on some of the offers presented to her over the last few years.

Turner, a true senior, averaged about 16 points and six rebounds per game as a freshman and sophomore. The 5-foot-10 guard really burst onto the scene last year with 19 points, six boards and four assists per game as a junior. It is a pleasure to watch her hoop.

As is the case with every sport in the NIL era, Turner was of immediate interest to national title contenders after the breakout year. They wanted her to enter the transfer portal during the offseason and were willing to pay her a lot of money through Name, Image and Likeness for her commitment.

She turned them down and stayed with the Crimson, which has been a reoccurring theme for three-straight years. The behind-closed-doors recruitment has happened every offseason since 2022.

Harmoni Turner stayed put!

Turner is currently averaging 22 points per game through the first eight games of the 2024-25 women’s college basketball season. Her 41-point performance against Boston College was a program record.

Not only is Turner a fantastic player, she is a fantastic personality. Very few players in the country are more exciting when she wakes up in the morning already in the zone.

Even though Turner rejected multiple (lucrative) offers to transfer over the last few years, there continues to be chatter on social media about a potential departure. I am not entirely sure that she would have any remaining eligibility if she wanted to leave, but that will not happen either way.

Harmoni Turner made her future plans very clear on Monday.

Hey, so like I’m not transferring… ever… not even thinking about it or wanting to! I love my school but more importantly, my team ❤️ #gocrim

In doing so, Harvard’s star point guard revealed the truth about her offseason recruitments, which are technically illegal. Nothing will come of it and it is happening everywhere in every sport, but inducements are still against NCAA rules.

If only y’all knew the numbers they were throwing at me after my freshman year… there’s no amount of money that I’d agree to to leave Harvard. This education means more to me than any $$ right now. Plus from what I’m learning from the legends here at this school, will allow the numbers that were thrown at me from other P5 schools to damn near triple. I’m just staying the course and trusting the man above.

There you have it. The Crimson does not have to worry about the possibility of Harmoni Turner playing in another uniform. However, she is planning to declare for the WNBA Draft.
