Harold Perkins provided an opposing Oklahoma player with some bulletin board material at SEC Media Days. He doesn’t know who Danny Stutsman is!

The LSU linebacker was asked about his soon to be conference mate on Monday, which resulted in an unintentional snub of the Sooner star.

Stutsman is the leader of Brent Venables’ defense in Norman, totaling more than 100 tackles in 2023 for the second straight season. The defender racked up 16 tackles for loss while forcing a pair of fumbles and returning an interception for a touchdown last year.

Despite NFL Draft consideration, he opted to return to Oklahoma for his senior year.

Stutsman was a first-team All-Big 12 performer last year, and he’s hoping to duplicate that success in the SEC. It could take some time for his new rivals to get acquainted.

Harold Perkins doesn’t know who Danny Stutsman is.

The LSU defender was asked about the fellow linebacker on Monday. Here’s what he had to say.

“Who is that?… To be honest, I don’t really watch anybody else. I focus on myself and my teammates and just focus on getting better.”

There are certainly more disrespectful things you can say of an opponent, but Stutsman will make sure to introduce himself when the SEC season begins.

As it turns out, the Sooners and Tigers will face off in the final week of the season. We’ll see if Perkins is more familiar come November!
