Vincent Arseneau is the epitome of a hockey player. The veteran enforcer casually snapped his finger right back into place after chucking knucks during a ferocious fight in the AHL on Friday night.
He acted like it was no big deal and continued on with his evening!
Arseneau dropped his gloves early in the first period. Syracuse Crunch winger Kale Kessy was being a pest so the Laval Rockets sent their enforcer onto the ice to clean things up. They skated right over to the center logo and started throwing bombs.
Both guys landed a few shots before Kessy tried to pull Arsenau’s jersey over his head to effectively end the scuffle. Officials broke things up shortly thereafter.
As Arseneau made his way back to the bench — rather, the penalty box — he held up his left hand and stared at his ring finger in bewilderment. It was snapped at the knuckle at a 45º angle.
In true hockey guy fashion, Arseneau decided to handle the issue on his own. Medical staffers didn’t even get a chance to take a look at the 32-year-old’s finger before he literally snapped it right back into place. Fair warning… the video will not be enjoyable for folks who are squeamish.

There’s tough, and then there’s hockey tough. Vincent Arseneau is hockey tough.
Most people who break a finger will need a doctor to set the bone. They are typically required to wear a splint for six to eight weeks.
Not Arseneau!
Not only did he set his own finger, he actually went back in the game. Nobody would blame him for sitting out the remainder of an early-season contest in the AHL but that’s not who he is. Arseneau has made a career from being tough and working hard to constantly prove himself.
