Netflix has released the first trailer for the docuseries Hulk Hogan: Real American, which will premiere on April 22. The four-episode docuseries will features Hogan’s final interview before his death.
Hulk Hogan, arguably the most iconic American wrestler of all time, died on July 24, 2025, from a heart attack at the age of 71. According to Netflix, the interview with him in the docuseries is the final one he gave before his passing.
Hulk Hogan: Real American was directed by Bryan Storkel and produced by Words + Pictures in association with WWE and Netflix. Netflix says the project had over 20 hours of interviews recorded with Hogan, his family, and those who worked with him prior to death in 2025.
Beyond his storied wrestling career, the doc also teases that it will explore “sinister side” of Hogan’s life and the various controversies he was involved in.

“In wrestling, you should be remembered from all the wars you had and everything you’ve done,” Hogan says in the trailer. “Some people hate me, but I think people are going to know the truth — who was this guy, really?”
In addition to Hogan himself, subjects interviewed include Hogan’s former manager Jimmy Hart, fellow WWE icon Bret “The Hitman” Hart, NWO partner Kevin Nash, and ex-wife Linda Hogan, alongside highlights from his career including his WrestleMania 3 match with Andre the Giant and the “Icon vs. Icon” showdown with The Rock at WrestleMania 18.
