Michael Jordan’s racing team finally got a big signature win in NASCAR.
On Sunday, Tyler Reddick won the Daytona 500 in a car owned by Michael Jordan’s 23IX racing when Chase Elliott caused a crash while battling Reddick for the top spot.
Hell of a few months for Michael Jordan. After completely changing the sport’s economics by taking NASCAR to court (and forcing a settlement), his driver Tyler Reddick now wins the Daytona 500…right before his 63rd birthday on Tuesday. pic.twitter.com/NQHI1JgKnF

After the race, Jordan spoke to the media about his team’s win.
“I can’t even believe it,” Jordan said. ” It was so gratifying. We had four guys that were really fighting that were helping each other out. I mean, you never know how these races are going to end, right? It’s like you just try to survive. And I thought Riley (Herbst) did an unbelievable job of pushing at the end.
“That shows you what teamwork can really, really do. I mean he doesn’t get enough credit. He won’t get enough credit, but we feel the love. We understand exactly what he did. I mean, we just hung in there all day. I mean… Great strategy by the team. And we gave ourselves a chance at the end and look, I’m excited. I mean, I didn’t even know what to say. It feels like I won a championship. But until I get my ring, I won’t even know.”
