Fans attending the FIFA Club World Cup opener between Inter Miami and Al Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens this weekend can expect to see agents from U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) as well as U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Earlier this week, the United States Customs and Border Protection posted a message on social media saying they would be providing “security” at the game.
“Let the games begin! The first FIFA Club World Cup games start on June 14th in Miami… CBP will be suited and booted and ready to provide security for the first round of games.”

ICE told NBC 6 Miami that they would be at the game for security purposes, but noted that “that all non-American citizens need to carry proof of their legal status.”
Miami Mayor Daniella Levine Cava explained the presence of ICE and CBP at this weekend’s game.
“We’re here to make sure people are safe, that’s our focus, to work with all of the law enforcement personnel, our safety personnel, and make sure they have a seamless experience,”
FIFA President Gianni Infantino had no concerns about federal agents being present at the game.
“No, I don’t have any concerns about anything in the sense that we are very attentive on any security question, of course the most important for us is to guarantee security for all the fans who come to the games, this is our priority,” Infantino said.
