Third-year Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely had his coming out party against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night, as he racked up nine catches for 111 yards and a touchdown. To put those numbers in perspective, last season, Likely had 30 catches for 411 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games.

Unfortunately for Likely, however, his team ultimately lost the game by a score of 27-20, with the defeat being particularly heartbreaking because Likely had a last-second game-tying touchdown ruled out after replay showed his toe was on the out-of-bounds line.

After the tough loss, Likely was understandably feeling some type of way, as he lashed out at both fans in the stadium and the Chiefs players following the game.

In the tunnel of Arrowhead Stadium immediately after the final play, Likely got into it with some heckling Chiefs fans on his way off the field.

Then, in the postgame press conference, he took a shot at the Chiefs — the team he just lost to — by essentially saying he wasn’t all that impressed with how they played.

“This is probably the worst game we gonna play all year. So if this their best that they got, I mean, good luck in the postseason,” the third-year tight end said.

Had Likely’s last-second touchdown stood, the Ravens looked ready to go for the win as head coach John Harbaugh was seen on the sidelines calling for a two-point play.

The Ravens will now get over a week’s break to prepare for their Week 2 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, which will be the team’s home opener for the 2024/25 season.

As for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, they’ll resume their quest for a historic third-straight Super Bowl title with another marquee matchup on Sunday, September 15 when they host Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, one of their fiercest rivals in the AFC.
