The NBA has had enough of Ja Morant’s finger gun celebrations. Earlier this week, Morant, who has been suspended in the past for brandishing a firearm during a live stream, was caught pointing an imaginary gun at the Warriors’ bench.
The NBA sent a warning to Morant about his celebration.
“NBA issued warnings – no further penalties – to Grizzlies’ Ja Morant and Warriors’ Buddy Hield along with both teams for gestures on Tuesday night, sources tell ESPN. League ruled the celebrations were not intended to be violent in nature, but inappropriate and should refrain.”
On Thursday night, Morant was once again busted out another finger gun celebration during the Grizzlies’ game against the Miami Heat.

The NBA immediately hit Morant with a $75k fine after his latest taunt.
“Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has been fined $75,000 for twice making an inappropriate gesture on the playing court. Morant was previously warned by the league office that his gesture could be interpreted in a negative light.”
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the NBA had spoken to Morant before the Grizzlies-Heat game, which is the reason for the fine.
“Ja Morant was warned about these gestures.”
“League officials spoke to Ja Morant about not doing it and then he did it in the first quarter”
