It’s not often that the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise has a shining moment, so when they do, we like to blow it out with wall-to-wall coverage.
And mascot Jaxson De Ville’s performance at a charity golf event on Wednesday at TPC Sawgrass.
After dropping a tee shot within five feet of the pin on a par-3, he drove the notoriously difficult 17th green with a driver from his knees. Both of these feats would be impressive for a normal human being. But De Ville did them while wearing that bulky, sweaty jaguars costume.

How good is this cat! @JaxsonDeVille wins the @THEPLAYERSChamp shootout. Inside 5 feet. Then this with the driver. pic.twitter.com/DgtVObT21f — Brent Martineau (@BrentAS360) April 15, 2015
Free idea: A Wednesday exhibition where PGA pros must wear ridiculous garb and carry their own bag for a nine-hole contest. Would love to see Rory McIlroy try to drive with Gwar-like spikes and Dustin Johnson struggle to keep his tiger tale out of the way.
