Jacob Carter is the most intriguing college basketball recruit in the Class of 2030. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound center is only 12 years old.

Yes, you read that correctly!

Carter is big massive for his age and young for his age group. He won’t even turn 13 until September, so his parents probably had the option to hold him back a year. They clearly didn’t need to.

The average height of NBA players during the 2023/24 season was approximately 6-foot-6. Carter is already at/ahead of the curve before the start of the seventh grade.

Born in Delaware, Carter and his family moved to a small town in Eastern Kentucky in May of 2021. They currently reside in the greater Louisville area. As such, he plays for the premier travel basketball program in Kentuckiana.

Rondo Elite, founded by two-time NBA champion Rajon Rondo, is one of the top systems in not just the Southeast, but the entirely country. Its Class of 2030 team was recently ranked No. 1 overall.

Carter is the most dominant player on the roster and was towering over his teammates at this time last year.

It was like watching a full-grown man play against children because, well, they are children.

He was already dunking a mini basketball as a fifth grader!!

Even though some of his classmates are slowly starting to catch up in terms of size, Carter is still just as dominant. His size is one thing. You can’t teach size.

However, the gigantic 12-year-old is more than just big. He actually has a lot of skill on both ends of the court and his game most closely resembles Nikola Jokić.

Carter is an unstoppable force on the hardwood and his most recent highlight tape from the Balling On The Beach tournament is downright ridiculous, in the best way.

Jacob Carter is on a fast track to a Division I college basketball scholarship. He eats 250 grams of protein, 79 grams of fat and 286 grams of carbohydrates each day to fuel his body while staying consistent in the gym. It is clearly paying off. Remember the name!
