Jadeveon Clowney is making waves in Year 1 with his new squad. The former No. 1 overall pick, who was signed by the Panthers this offseason, rubbed teammates the wrong way in his most recent practice.

On Tuesday, Carolina took to the field in preparation for the 2024 NFL season. Tensions were high!

The Panthers are looking to improve upon a 2-15 campaign from a year ago. In doing so, they added Clowney to bolster the defensive front.

“Great signing by the Carolina Panthers,” said Chris Simms after the deal. “Jadeveon Clowney is still a player. He’s still a force to be reckoned with on the edges of the defense.”

The veteran has racked up 52.5 sacks across 10 pro seasons, including matching a career-high of 9.5 last year in Baltimore. That said, this will be his sixth team across the last seven seasons.

In an attempt to prove his worth to the defense, Clowney flexed his muscle at practice. It almost sparked an all-out brawl!

Jadeveon Clowney laid out Chuba Hubbard.

The running back took a handoff from Bryce Young and scampered into the teeth of the defense. After spinning away from one would-be tackler, he was met by a vicious shoulder.

Clowney de-cleated the Panthers’ leading rusher, sending him completely off his feet with the unexpected blow.

Tempers flared after that hit though the two sides were separated before things boiled over.

It was a scene Clowney is used to dating back to his college days.

With the South Carolina Gamecocks, he laid one of the most vicious hits in recent college football memory when he nearly decapitated Michigan’s Vincent Smith.

He’s now laying the wood with another Carolina in the NFL! Hopefully, not at the expense of his relationship with teammates.
