Jake Paul finally has an opponent for his March 2nd boxing match in Puerto Rico.

On Tuesday, Paul announced he would be boxing pro boxer Ryan Bourland, who has a 16-2 professional boxing record.

“The goal is simple, build the skillset to become world champion. Next up is a guy who has twice as many professional fights under his belt than I do. Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland. And just like the animal in his bone chilling nickname… he is also endangered😂😅

On Saturday, March 2 as co-main to the Puerto Rican GOAT, Amanda Serrano, I’m fighting for experience, and to show my love to the island I call home I’ll be donating my entire fight purse to my nonprofit Boxing Bullies to help renovate gyms across Puerto Rico.”

While Bourland has a 16-2 record and is a former Golden Gloves champion, he’s only fought once in the past six years.

Paul’s last fight was a first-round knockout vs Andre August in December.

Paul has said his main intention this year is to take a more traditional boxing route in hopes of fighting Canelo for a championship in the future.

“I want to take this more traditional boxing route of moving up into the rankings, fighting professionals, and taking the route to become world champion. Like the prospect of my caliber would be doing. We’re looking at some pro boxers, and they’re not gonna be big names. I want to challenge myself, continue to grow in this sport and get to the top of it.”
