Philadelphia Eagles fans dodged a bullet on Sunday as they not only watched their beloved Birds narrowly defeat the Los Angeles Rams to advance to the NFC Championship, but they also saw QB Jalen Hurts escaped a scary-looking moment without suffering a serious injury.
During the second quarter of the NFC Divisional game between the Eagles and Rams, quarterback Jalen Hurts was sacked in the second quarter and looked to injure his knee in the process.
While Hurts was looked at by team doctors under the blue medical tent on the sideline, he was able to return to the game, ultimately not missing a single snap.
“Tough game. A challenging game. I was able to finish the game, and we will see how the week goes,” Hurts told the media after the game about his injury.
Some fans, however, are speculating — PURE SPECULATION — that Hurts might’ve taken a page out of Aaron Rodgers’ book and became “Jalen Percs.”
Jalen Hurts was 1000% off a perc. My guy almost dropped a f-bomb and was the most geeked out I’ve ever heard him 😂 pic.twitter.com/vi5zJwjy3C

The idea of a quarterback taking some pain-relieving medication at halftime certainly isn’t a new one as 41-year-old New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers popularized the idea back during his days with the Green Bay Packers, to such an extent that the “Perc Rodgers” meme was born.

In their 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Hurts completed 15/20 passes for 128, and also carried the ball seven times for 70 yards and a rushing touchdown.
With their win over the Rams, Hurts and the Eagles will host Jayden Daniels and the upstart Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, January 26 at 3:00 p.m. EST at Lincoln Financial Field.
