Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe did not play well in a loss to Tennessee on Saturday. His father also got into a verbal altercation with a group of Volunteers in the crowd at Neyland Stadium.
It was a disastrous afternoon for the entire family.
Milroe completed only 55% of his passes with two interceptions to just one touchdown. He averaged less than one yard per carry on 14 rush attempts. The Crimson Tide lost by seven.
Meanwhile, Tennessee fans were ruthless toward the quarterback’s father. They gave him a hard time for his son’s performance throughout the entire game, which eventually caused him to snap.
A short clip of the incident has gone viral on social media. The elder Milroe can be heard yelling at an undisclosed couple before he walks away. His choice of words was not kind.

Although it is not a great look for Quentin Milroe, the reaction was likely warranted. It is hard to imagine that someone would act in such a manner without being triggered and the Volunteers were definitely ruthless. That does not excuse his behavior, as the farther of a starting quarterback in the SEC, but it helps to explain the outburst.
The way he addressed the fans would indicate that they were talking crazy about Jalen Milroe. However, it seems as though they were not addressing his dad directly, but he was in the vicinity and heard all of their insults being hurled at his son. We do not know the full story. Neither the fans in the video nor the Milroes offered an explanation for what went down.
Alabama ended the night with its second loss of the season. Poor quarterback play was a large factor in the final result. Milroe did not play well and his dad lost his cool. It was a really rough day for the Crimson Tide.
